Booking Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing to book with us and we hope you will enjoy your stay. The following terms and conditions apply to your booking. They form the basis of a legally binding contract between us and you.
The price payable includes accommodation WIFI, parking and breakfast for the number of nights stated on your booking. The room tariff does not cover the cost of any additional items you order.
Prices for children apply to children aged 14 years and under at the time of the stay. Children aged above this will be charged the full adult price.
We allow pets in some of our rooms (maximum 2 pets per room) and we make a £5 per night per pet cleaning surcharge.
We accept payment by credit card, debit card or cash. We do not accept American express, Diners Club or cheques.
You will be asked to provide your credit card details when you book the room. This is to secure the room only. You will not be charged until departure.
We will keep your card details until such time that we are satisfied that there has been no:
- Chargeable breakages/damage
- Breach of no-smoking or pet policy
- Extras incurred.
There is a surcharge of 2% should you choose to pay any outstanding amount of £20 or less using either a debit or credit card
Thereafter we will shred all details of your card details.
Cancellation by you
Changes and cancellations made up to 5 days before arrival are without charge.
If you cancel 5 days or less before your scheduled arrival, or fail to check in (no-show), or leave before your due departure date, we reserve the right to charge you for the whole of your booking, less any costs not incurred by us as a result of your cancellation.
Cancellations must be made or confirmed in writing or e mail.
It is recommended that you take out travel insurance which provides for cancellation cover.
Departure earlier than planned
If you for whatever reason you choose to depart sooner than the planned departure date we reserve the right to charge for the whole of your booking, less any costs not incurred by us as a result of your cancellation.
Cancellation by us
In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel your booking we will attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If suitable accommodation is not available, then we will refund any monies already paid by you and confirm that you will not be liable for any further payments to us.
Amendment by us
If you have booked a specific room, we will try to ensure that this room is available to you. We do however reserve the right to accommodate you in a different room. If this room is not acceptable, you have the right to treat the booking as being cancelled and we will refund any monies already paid by you and confirm that you will not be liable for any further payments to us.
If you accept the new room and the new room is normally charged at a lower rate, then the difference will be deducted from the final balance due from you. If the new room is normally charged at a higher rate, then you will not be charged the difference. This is the limit of our liability to you in these circumstances.
Arrival and Departure
You will be able to check anytime from 16.00 (4 pm). We would not accept arrivals after 22.00 (10 pm) unless previously arranged or you have kept us informed. If you arrive after 22.00 and have not agreed this with us, we reserve the right to charge an additional £50. Early check in may be accepted by prior arrangement only.
Damage and Breakages
We are sure that you will take care whilst you stay with us, and we acknowledge that accidents sometimes happen. We do however reserve the right to charge for any damage or breakages which we consider was deliberately or recklessly caused. You will be notified in writing as soon as is reasonably practicable, if the damage is discovered after you depart. We also reserve the right to charge further sums if we are unable to re-let the room as a consequence of the damage.
We are a No Smoking Establishment. If we find that guests have been smoking in the room, then we reserve the right ask you to leave immediately. You will remain liable for the whole of the cost of your stay. Whether or not you are asked to leave, we also reserve the right to charge a sum equivalent to one night’s stay if we are unable to re-let the room for 24 hours whilst it is fully aired. You will be notified in writing as soon as is reasonably practicable if evidence of smoking is discovered after you depart.
We do accept pets in some of the rooms but expect the owner to be responsible for their pet and pay any damage as per our damage terms and conditions We do not allow pets in the dining room during breakfast service. Pets must not be left unaccompanied in the room unless in a crate. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
We do not accept any liability for damage to your property or injury to you (or other members of your party) whilst on our premises unless caused by the negligence of us, or our employees.
Any data collected as a result of your booking will be stored in accordance with the provisions of current Data Protection legislation.
Any dispute between us will be governed by the non-exclusive law of the English Courts.
