All of our en-suite rooms are individually decorated and have a seating area, free Wi-Fi, colour TV, tea/coffee-making facilities and complimentary toiletries. We have a single/twin room, two standard doubles, a double suite, a family suite and a ground floor twin/king/family suite. We welcome well-behaved pets in most of our rooms by prior arrangement.
Breakfast is served in our newly refurbished dining room between 8-9 am.
We offer a buffet selection of fresh fruit, berry compote, yogurts, cereals, fruit juice and toast with preserves, including home-made marmalade.
Hot food is cooked to order and we use Plumgarth’s local sausages and free-range eggs from a local farm, when available. Coffee is supplied by Farrers of Kendal.
We are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements – vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free etc. Just let us know and we’ll do the rest.
We welcome up to 2 well-behaved pets, in most of the rooms, by prior arrangement and will supply extra towels for wet paws and the occasional treat. We ask that you do not leave your pet unattended in the room, unless in your own crate.
Pets are not to be brought into the dining room during breakfast service and there is a separate entrance that you can use during this time. Most guests are happy to leave their pet in the car during breakfast but, if this is a problem for you, please let us know and we will try to find an alternative solution.
Sorry, we do not allow pets in the Double Suite.
Check-in is from 4pm until 10pm. It is possible to check in outside of these times, but only by prior arrangement. We are happy to store your luggage for you if you arrive early and want to go out and enjoy the local area.
Checkout is by 10.30 am, please. We are happy to store your luggage for you, if you are catching a later train to your next destination.
